Funding Priorities

Thank you for your interest in Family TIES of Nevada.

Since 2001, Family TIES of Nevada, Inc. has offered information, referrals, education and parent-to-parent support at no cost to families of children with special health care needs and individuals with disabilities in Nevada.

This is what you can make happen with a grant of $1,000 to $10,000.

As of March 2011, our current funding priorities are:

  1. Funding for the Family-to-Family Health Information Center to access basic health and human resources, and be informed on key issues - delivered through face-to-face workshops, web-based training center, topical calls, a toll-free parent support information/referral line, and an on-line Resource Directory.
  2. Funding for the Parent-to-Parent Peer Mentor Program which offers parents/caregivers the training and opportunity to connect one-to-one with a parent/caregiver of an individual with the same or similar disability or special health care need.
  3. Funding for capacity building activities to help sustain core services for children with special health care needs and individuals with disabilities.
